At Covenant, one way we reach out into the world is through our gifts. Four times a year we collect Special Offerings through the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. These offerings which allow us to show God’s love to those in need are as follows: One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost, Peacemaking, and Christmas Joy. Click the logo to the right for details about the special offering dates and how each offering is distributed.
When a disaster happens (such as the earthquake, hurricane, or tornado), the Presbyterian Church has funds available that are sent immediately to the disaster area through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). PDA is the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., which focuses on the long term recovery of disaster impacted communities. Covenant participates by making donations to PDA through-out the year as disasters occur. For more information about the PDA, go to http://gamc.pcusa.org/ministries/pda/who-we-are.
Operation Christian Child - is our Global Outreach. Throughout the year we collect toys, hygiene items, school supplies and other useful items for children throughout the world. These items are packed into shoeboxes and distributed where the need is greatest by the Operation Christmas Child branch of Samaritan’s Purse. Starting in 2015, we are the Springboro area Relay Center or Drop-off Location. Churches, organizations and individuals are welcome to drop off their filled shoeboxes here during National Collection Week, the third week in November. We will make sure they are transported to a national processing center.
